How does Analytics work?

We have collected anything you need to know about the Analytics function. Let's dive into how it works.

Analytics is a collection of useful widgets where you can find all kinds of results, measurements, and metrics on learner's learning activities. Analytics is a standalone feature, and it has its own menu, which you can find in the menu bar on the left.

In this article, we dive further into all widgets; how they work and what they represent.

Analytics is designed to provide useful information to admins and managers. When they have access to analytics, they can see an individuals or group data in their own department and the departments beneath them. This restricted access data is always tied to the position in the organisation.

It is important to note that the widgets reflect only active users; deactivated and anonymised users are not part of these calculations.

Your users

The 'Your users' widget shows the number of all learners in your department and the departments below as well as how many of them are online at the moment.

You can see more details about learners by clicking on the widget. It will bring up a table that shows all learners and their status, whether they are online or when they were last active on the platform.

Time spent on learning

The 'Time spent on learning' widget shows how much time your learners spend on learning in total and on average in the platform. We start measuring the time when a learner enters a module, and we stop when they complete the module or close it down (or leave the page).

Deadlines

The 'Deadlines' widget shows how many learners have not completed their assigned learning on time. You can see more details by clicking on the widget. It will bring up a table showing learners and the modules they have not completed before the deadline. From here, you can easily send a reminder to a few selected or all learners.

General user activity

In the 'General user activity' widget, you can see how many learners visited the platform in the past two weeks. You can also see how user activity in the current week compares to the previous week.

Modules completed

In the 'Modules completed' widget, you can see how many modules your learners completed in the past two weeks. You can also see how the completion of modules in the current week compares to the previous week.
