Set up your Tamigo integration with Learningbank. Tamigo offers a delegated user integration and in-app setup with automatic login.
📣IMPORTANT: The integration offered by Tamigo is delegated. This means that Tamigo owns the integration. If you experience missing or incorrect data or login issues, please reach out to Tamigo first.
Delegated User Integration
When you enable the delegated user integration in Tamigo, Tamigo will also create the in-app automatic login setup.
You do not have to use the in-app setup. The Learningbank app and website can still be used if preferred. However, this requires users to create their own passwords.
Configure Integration in Tamigo
First, you need to obtain the username and password from Learningbank by creating a new set of API keys on your Learningbank platform. You also need the URL of your platform (e.g. 'https://academy.learningbankapp.com/').
Quick tip💡

Next, assign a default permission in Learningbank. The default permission is assigned all newly created users in Learningbank.
With these obtained, you are now ready to setup the integration in Tamigo 🚀
Step 1: Navigate to the Plugins page in Tamigo
In your Tamigo platform, navigate to Configuration (gear icon) -> Plugins:
Step 2: Setup the Learningbank integration
Search for Learningbank and paste the relevant fields (username, password, and platform URL).
The correct order of the fields:
Username
Password
Domain
Name in the menu
All set! You're now ready to start importing users to Learningbank from Tamigo 🔄️
How It Works
The delegated user integration with Tamigo imports users, departments and job profiles to the Learningbank platform.
Good to know💭 Permissions are not imported from Tamigo. All newly created users are instead assigned the default user permission on the platform.
You can after manage the permissions manually on the individual user.
Departments
Departments in Learningbank are based on departments in Tamigo.
If the department already exists in Learningbank with the exact same name as the department in Tamigo, the user will be assigned to that department.
When the integration synchronizes, departments are created as a flat structure in Learningbank. This means that the department hierarchy from Tamigo is not created automatically.
Departments can be moved manually in Learningbank after they have been created.
Quick tip💡
Departments are not updated in Learningbank if they are updated in Tamigo.
If a department name is changed in Tamigo, we recommend also changing the name in Learningbank to keep the data aligned between the two systems.
This also applies if a department is deleted or moved in Tamigo.
Job Profiles
Job profiles in Learningbank are based on the employee type in Tamigo.
If the job profile already exists in Learningbank with the exact same name as the employee type in Tamigo, the user will be assigned to that job profile.
If the job profile does not already exist in Learningbank, it will be created by the integration.
Users
Only users with the role Employee in Tamigo are transferred to Learningbank.
Users with the role Planner or Administrator in Tamigo are not transferred.
Users are created in Learningbank with the following attributes:
First name
Last name
Email
Department
Job profile
First day
Last day
If a user is deactivated in Tamigo, the user will also be deactivated in Learningbank.
📣IMPORTANT: If a user is deleted in Tamigo, the user is also deleted in Learningbank. This means that all learning history on the user will be deleted with no way of recovering it.
Delete with caution.
In-App with Automatic Login
All users who have been synchronized from Tamigo to Learningbank with the delegated user integration will find a shortcut to their Learningbank environment in the Tamigo menu.
Using the shortcut, will open Learningbank inside of Tamigo, and automatically login the user.
📣IMPORTANT: Links in communication send by the platform, will send users directly to the Learningbank app or website, where they are not automatically logged in.
Automatic login only works when users access Learningbank through the Tamigo app.
Therefore, we recommend removing links from communication templates and instead using the message to notify users to open Learningbank through Tamigo.
