Not sure where to start when creating content?
Just like building a house, it's easier when you have a blueprint before you start laying bricks 🏠
That's why our recommendation is to start by planning out your Journeys before creating the detailed content. This makes it easier to create a logical flow and ensures you don't miss any important pieces along the way.
💡 Quick tip Use drafts to plan first and create later. This allows you to focus on the structure first and the details later, making it easier to build a connected learning experience for your users.
Create your Journey and add Learning Paths
Start by creating a Journey and defining the overall structure you want your users to go through by adding learning paths.
Think of the Journey as the overall plan, and of the Learning Path as the book that brings related learning together 📚
If you're not yet ready to create the actual content, don't worry! You can add draft Learning Paths to start building the structure:
Within the Journey, add your Learning Paths. At this stage, focus on the topics you want to cover and the order in which learners should experience them.
You can click on each Learning Path and give it a name later as your structure takes shape!

Plan out your Learning Paths
Once your Learning Paths are in place, start adding draft modules and/or events. Think of modules and events as the individual chapters of your book.
This is a great way to visualise the learning experience before creating the actual content.
By outlining everything first, you can:
Spot gaps in the learning experience
Rearrange content if needed
Ensure a logical learning flow
Start creating your content
Now comes the fun part 🎉
Once your structure is in place, start building the actual content inside your modules and events.
For the best experience:
Keep your content simple, clear, and focused
Use interactions throughout your content
Include visual elements where relevant
Focus on one key learning objective at a time

Don't forget to publish!
Think of publishing like building a house: the foundation must be in place before you can add the next layer.
A Journey can't be published until all Learning Paths are published, and a Learning Path can't be published until all modules and events inside it are published.
Before assigning content, make sure everything in the structure has been published ✔️
💡 Quick tip Publish content as you finalize it. This makes it easier to keep track of what is ready.
Assign content
Congratulations - your learning experience (Journey) is now ready!
The final step is assigning it to the right users by adding the Journey to the relevant circles. If you need more information on how to go about this, we recommend checking out our articles on Circles.
