Knowbot can answer questions using learning content from the platform, including content assigned to you and relevant content available in Explore.

Knowbot is permission-aware, which means it only uses content you can actually access. This helps ensure answers are relevant, trustworthy, and based on material available to you.

What Knowbot can do

You can ask Knowbot questions about topics covered in your learning content. Knowbot can:

  • answer using accessible learning content from the platform

  • use publicly available Explore content when relevant

  • show the source behind its answer

  • recommend relevant Explore events or learning paths when guided learning is more helpful than a direct answer

How access works

Knowbot only answers using content that is available to you at the moment you ask.

This can include:

  • unlocked content assigned to you

  • published content you have access to

  • publicly available Explore content

Knowbot does not use:

  • locked content

  • unpublished content

  • content you do not have access to

  • content that is no longer valid or available

Because access is checked when you ask, two users may get different answers to the same question.

Source references

When Knowbot answers a question, it should include a reference to the source it used.

Where possible, you can open the source directly to review it yourself. If the answer comes from a specific module, such as a video module, the reference should point to that module.

Explore recommendations

If your question relates to content available in Explore, Knowbot may:

  • answer directly from relevant Explore content

  • recommend a relevant event

  • recommend a relevant learning path

Recommendations also follow the same access rules, so Knowbot only suggests content that is visible to you.

If Knowbot can’t find an answer

If Knowbot cannot find a supported answer in content you can access, it should say so clearly.

Knowbot is designed to avoid guessing or answering from inaccessible material.

Supported content types

Knowbot is intended to work with more than plain text where possible. This may include:

  • video

  • PDF

  • Word documents

  • audio

Support may vary depending on how the content is structured and processed.

How content stays up to date

Knowbot should stay in sync as learning content changes over time.

This includes updates when content is:

  • published

  • edited

  • unlocked

  • assigned or reassigned

  • removed

This helps ensure Knowbot does not continue answering from content that is no longer available to you.

Why this matters

Using Knowbot with platform learning content can help you:

  • find answers faster

  • avoid manually searching through assigned learning

  • trust answers through visible sources

  • discover useful Explore learning opportunities
