Module templates help content creators build new modules faster and maintain consistent layouts and design, kind of like a design guide. This is made easy by saving an existing module as a reusable starting point and then creating new editable modules from it.

Save a module as a template
Before using a template, you have to create one first. The following steps will show to do just that đ
Find the module you want to reuse.
Open the module menu and select Save as template. You can do this from the module overview or from the More menu while editing the module.

Enter a name. It is also possible to add a description to help other creators understand the use case for using the specific template.
Choose the visibility:
âPrivate: Only you can view and use the template (except the platform owners).Public: The template is available to content creators across your organization.
Save the template.
The original module is not changed when you save it as a template.
Important note: You can choose not to include content, by unchecking the "include content" setting at the bottom of the save as template menu.
Create a module from a template
The following steps will guide you on how to create a module while using the template function
Go to Modules and select Create.
Open the Templates tab.
Search for a template or use the module type and visibility filters to narrow the list.
Preview a template if you want to check its structure and design.
Select the template to create your new module.
Add your content and edit the new module as usual.
Important note: Both template with content, and without exist - so we recommend that you create a distinction in the title, so you don't have to check manually đ
Good to know
A template keeps the module structure, design, theme settings, and predefined elements.
Module-specific content is not carried into the new module, so you start with a clean structure.
A module created from a template is a normal, independent module that you can edit freely.
Deleting a template does not affect modules that were already created from it.
Templates do not appear in the ordinary module overview. Find them from the Templates tab when creating a module.
Templates do not support structural editing or version history. To change the reusable structure, create a new template from an updated module.
While users who only have permission to create templates can only edit their own, platform owners can manage the entire template library.
