Customizable Dashboards: Create and manage admin dashboards

Learn how to create, edit, and manage custom admin dashboards, including how the Standard dashboard works.

Written by Martyna Butryn

Custom dashboards let you tailor the Admin Dashboard to fit different admin needs and permission types.

This means that you can create dashboards for different needs, organise widgets, and choose which dashboard should be the Standard one for your organisation.

Good to know💭 This feature is part of our Empower package, so if you do not have access to it, you can reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

Who is this for?

This feature is relevant for administrators who use the Admin Dashboard and have access to dashboard customisation.

Depending on your access level, you may be able to create dashboards, update layouts, manage widgets, or only view the dashboard. Who can manage dashboards is configured in the Dashboard Customization permission setting.

What can you do with custom dashboards?

  • Create new dashboards for different admin needs based on permission type

  • Edit an existing dashboard

  • Add, remove, move, and resize widgets

  • Choose one dashboard as the Standard dashboard for your organisation

How to create or update a dashboard

  1. Open the Admin Dashboard by clicking your logo.

  2. Choose an existing dashboard to update, or create a new one.

  3. If you want to change the layout, enter edit mode.

  4. Add the widgets you need, then move or resize them to match the way you want to work.

  5. Save your changes when the dashboard looks right.

When creating or editing a dashboard, you can also choose whether it should become the Standard dashboard.

How the Standard dashboard works

Your organisation can only have one Standard dashboard at a time.

The Standard dashboard acts as the main default dashboard for your organisation. If you set another dashboard as Standard, it replaces the current one.

Quick tip💡

A Standard dashboard cannot be deleted. If you want to remove it, first set a different dashboard as Standard.

Good to know

  • If you can open the dashboard but do not see options to create, edit, or manage widgets, your access may be view-only.

  • Different admins may see different dashboard options depending on their setup and permissions.

  • The available widgets and layout options may vary depending on your organisation’s configuration.
