When to use Learner insights

Learner insights provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how your learners are performing, allowing you to identify areas for improvement and tailor your learning programs accordingly.

When to use Content insights

Content insights, on the other hand, focus on the effectiveness of your learning materials. Use Content insights to assess which modules and learning paths are most effective and where you can enhance the quality of your content.

📖 Learner insights analyse learner performance, while Content insights evaluate the effectiveness of learning materials.

If you have not seen it already, then we recommend watching the walkthrough of both Learner and Content insights.

Use cases

Below, you will find the most common use case examples for finding specific data in insights. They are all written as Q&A, so the scenario you need is under Q, and the solution is under A.

Learner insights

Q: How do I find an overview of how all individual users are doing overall on all assigned learning paths and modules?

A: For this information, go to learner insights. The first thing you will see is a list of all users with information on their overall performance.

Q: How do I find an overview of how all individual users are doing on specific learning paths?

A: For this information, go to learner insights and then switch to the Learning path view. At first, you will see a row for every individual learning path assigned pr. user. If you only need to see specific learning paths, you can choose the ones you need in the filter.

Tip💡 The use case above is perfect for seeing which users are compliant with mandatory training.

Q: How can I find an overview of how an entire department is doing on assigned learning

A: Choose 'Departments' at the top of the screen. After this, you will be met with a similar view as with individual users - just based on department.

Q: How do I dive into details on the learning paths assigned to one specific department, when I am in the department overview?

A: If you click the department's name, you will see all learning paths with users assigned to that department and a summary of their progress.

All of the above also applies to job profiles.

Good to know💭 Every time you see blue text, you can click it to dive deeper into the data.

To ensure that you see all the data you need, we advise that you make sure all your filters are set correctly in the insights you are looking for. In this article, you will see how to enable filters and also get more data on how to read the data after you have gathered it.

Saved Filters

Imagine you've crafted a filter to track all mandatory training that you would love to revisit on a quarterly basis. Instead of having to re-create this filter each time, you can save it for future reference. Your saved filters will be easily accessible under the "Saved filters" tab.
